Our Story

Come join us on our journey as we grow our homestead and family on Smith Mountain Lake.

We are the Debordes, Jeremiah and Megan.

As our family continues to grow, getting back to the land has always been a dream of ours.  Our farm is a part of a historic tobacco farm located in beautiful Franklin County, Virginia.  Originally owned by one of the oldest families in the county, Passel Hills Farm is helping to restore one of the heritage breeds of hogs that once was found across farms in the southeast United States. What started out as a small homestead, has turned into a desire to educate and provide a unique experience to visitors. 

Servicing Roanoke, Botetourt, Franklin, and Bedford Counties, the farm is located on Smith Mountain Lake. We provide healthy meats and eggs raised on chemical-free pasture. Our market garden cultivates superb vegetables and produce, using no-spray and beyond organic practices.
