    Exciting news for hunters and our community: PHF Wild Game Processing at Passel Hills Farm is gearing up for major growth in 2026!

    Thanks to the ongoing support from our members through dues and cooler rental fees, we’re gearing up to invest in significant facility upgrades. These planned improvements will double our processing capacity, enhance safety standards, improve overall meat quality, and add even more convenience for the hunters we serve.Planned:

    A Brand-New Hanging Cooler

    In summer 2026, we’ll be constructing a brand-new 8×40 foot hanging cooler. This modern addition will allow us to hang up to 80 deer at a time—roughly doubling our current capacity. We’re also planning to install a professional rail system to make the entire handling process smoother, more efficient, and safer from drop-off through to final cuts.

    Upcoming Changes for Superior Quality and Safety

    Starting with the 2026 season (after the summer upgrades are complete), we’ll be implementing updated procedures to ensure the cleanest, highest-quality results:

    • We’ll only accept whole (non-field dressed) deer. This gives us full control over the process from the moment your animal arrives.
    • Our team will perform gutting and skinning on-site immediately upon arrival.
    • Deer will be hung skin-off, helping maximize usable meat yield while eliminating contamination risks associated with dragging gutted animals across floors.

    These forward-thinking changes will prioritize food safety and help you get the absolute most from every harvest.

    Hassle-Free Drive-Thru Drop-Off (Coming Soon)

    Once the new setup is in place, drop-off will be simpler than ever. You’ll be able to pull right up in your truck or trailer—we’ll handle hoisting the deer off for you. No heavy lifting, quick turnaround, and hunter-friendly convenience all the way.

    Reserve Your Own Dedicated Rail Space

    For DIY processors, we’ll have dedicated rail space available in the new hanging cooler. This offers a budget-friendly alternative to building your own home facility. Space will be limited, so if you’re interested, reach out early to learn about reserving your spot through our membership options!

    Remodeled Cutting Room on the Horizon

    The cutting room will also see a full remodel and cooling upgrade, ensuring consistent, ideal temperatures year-round—even during warmer processing days. No more temperature worries impacting your meat quality.
